When it comes to choosing a laptop, you typically have one of two goals in mind: you’re either looking for something that packs plenty of power while remaining portable or you want something slim and stylish. The Clevo NH70 review has shown that this machine combines the power of high-end laptops with the portability and style of premium ultrabooks, making it one of the most versatile laptops on the market today.
Design

The Clevo NH70 has a simple yet elegant design. The exterior is made of high-quality polycarbonate, while aluminum is used to give it some rigidity. The overall build feels very sturdy and gives off an air of professional reliability. In addition, its slim profile makes it easily portable so you can take your work on the go. The front of the machine houses its 1366×768 15.6 display along with its shiny silver power button and volume rocker. There are also three dedicated buttons for launching programs that users commonly use such as Skype, Chrome, or Word. These dedicated buttons are quite handy because they allow you to quickly access these programs without having to go through Windows’ start menu. The keyboard is backlit which allows for easy typing in dimly lit areas and its full-sized keys offer a comfortable typing experience. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how good of a laptop Clevo was able to put together at such an affordable price point.
Specs
The Clevo NH70, released in 2022, was one of Clevo’s first Ultrabooks. The laptop features a 13.1-inch display with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution. The device has an Intel Core i7-8565U processor coupled with 32GB DDR4 memory to ensure multi-tasking is handled effortlessly. The device also sports 512GB M.2 SATA SSD for fast booting times and data access speeds from a solid state hard drive (SSD). For its graphics needs, it has an integrated Intel UHD 620 Graphics chip which helps save battery life when running less graphically intensive applications or web pages while still giving you enough power to handle serious games when necessary.
Performance
The Clevo NH70 offers more than enough power to handle your productivity, media creation, or gaming needs. Its 8th generation Intel® CoreTM processor comes with a range of core counts and clock speeds, so you’re sure to find something that suits your budget. While not as powerful as its desktop counterparts, it can still handle most tasks with ease—assuming you don’t push it to max performance all day every day. The best part is that it stays relatively cool during heavy workloads, so even if it does overheat once in a while (or if you have a tendency for leaving a laptop on for too long) there shouldn’t be any long-term damage.
Screen Quality

The Clevo NH70 has 1920 x 1080 display that is crisp, clear, and colorful. It’s not an IPS panel, but it still offers great viewing angles. Screen quality is about personal taste so check out a store in your area for a hands-on test drive if you are concerned. The full HD screen looks fantastic from nearly any angle (which makes it great for sharing). I was pleased with the screen quality on my own unit though I’ve seen some complaints from others regarding backlight bleed. To be fair, my experience may just be anecdotal—and backlight bleed can be subjective at times. However, it’s worth noting here for those interested in learning about potential issues as well as other users’ experiences to help make their purchasing decision.
Weight
12 pounds (5.6 kilograms) with 9 hours battery life. It is suitable for both students who use laptops as their primary computer at school, and worker that travel often. The 4K display enables you to work better in graphic design, engineering, or any profession that benefits from high screen resolution, but still a large screen size. Also a plus point for gamers because of its powerful Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics card with 4GB memory and good 2TB hard drive capacity which will be great if you are playing some latest games without compromising on performance for many hours like Witcher 3 or The Division 2.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard on the Clevo NC3200 is a pleasure to type on. The keys have an excellent tactile feel, with a soft click when they’re pressed down. We also like that there’s no flex in the keyboard, making for a solid typing experience. The touchpad is responsive and accurate, too. Though it’s built into the palm rest, it isn’t particularly wide (probably around four inches). However, we had no trouble moving our cursor around Windows 8 with it—though we did occasionally wish for more real estate.
Audio Quality

Although I didn’t have a chance to test it out while I was in control, my colleagues tell me that audio is clear and loud when they’re chatting away on their Clevos. The big headphones jack (3.5 mm) isn’t as standard on many laptops these days as small phone jacks, so that’s a very welcome sight. And when you factor in DTS Premium SoundTM technology (surround sound), it sounds even better. The beats are bangin’.
Warranty of the laptop
Clevo provides one year of warranty for its laptops. During your warranty period, Clevo will repair or replace any defective parts of your laptop. After one year, you will have to pay for any repairs or replacements. The replacement may be with a refurbished part or unit repaired by Clevo technicians. Please note that after the one-year warranty period expires, it does not mean that your laptop is damaged in any way. If you wish to continue using your machine after 1 year then it is advisable that you renew extended warranty support through Clevo’s official website or nearest retailers/sellers.
Battery Life

The battery life on a gaming laptop is probably its most important feature (even if you never plan to use it as a portable computer). Clevo’s NH70 scored well in our tests, delivering just over five hours of power. That falls short of many gaming laptops, but it still offers respectable battery life for all but hardcore users. Gaming-focused notebooks from MSI and Asus typically last 3 hours or less with similar hardware, so it’s worth keeping that in mind if you’re shopping for your next laptop. Keep in mind that even 5+ hours doesn’t necessarily mean portability; I think most people will be fine carrying a machine like the Clevo around for more than an hour without plugging it in.
Conclusion
Overall, if you’re looking for a laptop to give you all-day battery life, look no further. For everyone else, there’s plenty more to consider in terms of portability and style. In other words, for $500 or less, there’s nothing quite like it. If that sounds like a good deal to you, head on over to Clevo’s website today!
